U.S. Assistant Secretary Biswal Starts Tour to Tajikistan, China, and India

U.S. Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal has arrived for talks in Tajikistan's capital, Dushanbe.

Biswal is leading the U.S. delegation at the third session of the U.S.-Tajikistan Annual Bilateral Consultations, which are taking place June 2-3 in Dushanbe.

The U.S. State Department reported last week that, while in Dushanbe, Biswal will meet with top Tajik officials, as well as with civil society and youth representatives.

From Dushanbe, Biswal will travel to Beijing on June 4-6 to meet with Chinese officials.

Biswal will then travel on June 6-9 to New Delhi, where she will meet with officials in India's new government to discuss bilateral and regional issues.
