We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Scheduling Producer to join our team. As a Scheduling Producer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our programming, collaborating closely with our experienced team to deliver top-notch content to our viewers worldwide. The team operates on a shift basis, including night hours and weekends, therefore flexibility is required.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and upload programs to the automated satellite playout system, keeping the TV schedule up to date.
- Maintain and update templates and build daily rundowns aligned with the broadcast schedule. Prepare and quality-check promos, channel IDs, fillers, and interstitials to ensure flawless broadcast execution.
- Verify all materials are accurately ingested and fully ready for transmission (TX).
- Collect and compile information for monthly music reporting.
- Source and develop fresh daily programming, repurposing content into compelling on-air products.
- Collaborate with producers to write and edit advisories for upcoming events.
- Edit scheduled TV programs to meet RFE/RL standards and technical requirements.
- Record live programs and prepare them for scheduled rebroadcasts, including necessary updates.
- Support the technical and editorial execution of all live events.
- Receive incoming materials and perform rigorous QC checks to ensure compliance with video and audio standards.
What You Bring
- Education: Higher education or certificate in film studies or a related field preferred. ·
- Experience: Minimum one-year experience in non-linear video editing and television production, with proficiency in digital technology and editing software packages. ·
- Competencies: Demonstrated ability to work under deadline pressure, innovate, and collaborate effectively. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite 6 and familiarity with graphic design packages desired.
- Languages: Fluency in Russian and English required, with knowledge of another RFE/RL target language desirable.

Appointment against this post is on a local basis only. Please note that for the locally advertised positions preference will be given to those with a work permit and/or a valid residence status in the Czech Republic. Locally recruited employees should reside within commuting distance of Prague, Czech Republic, or be willing to move to take up work. They are not eligible for allowances applicable to candidates who are internationally recruited. Rather, they receive statutory benefits as per Czech labor law. Salary scales for locally recruited employees are based on the best prevailing local conditions. RFE/RL does, however, cover the costs of interview travel and, upon appointment, some relocation costs.
