A court in St. Petersburg on January 9 sentenced Maksim Moiseyev, the singer of the Russian punk rock group Shchenki (Puppies), to 10 days in jail on a hooliganism charge. Moiseyev was detained on January 8 for a performance in a club in which he removed the only thing he was wearing -- a sock on his genitalia – and stood on the stage naked. Another Russian entertainer, rapper Nikolai Vasilyev, known onstage as Vacio, is currently serving a 25-day jail term for attending a party last month in a Moscow night club naked except for a sock on his genitalia.
