In the wake of a struggle for control of the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the country's prime agency for policing graft and undue influence, the organization's director, Semen Kryvonos, has pledged he will continue doing his job, come what may. Ukrainians protested in the streets for days in July after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced he would be curbing the bureau's independence.
