A large fire broke out at a polyester-producing plant in the city of Shakhty in Russia's Rostov region that borders Ukraine. Regional Governor Vasily Golubev wrote on Telegram that two people were injured in the January 17 fire, adding the blaze was not caused by a drone attack. The Baza Telegram channel, which is linked to the Russian government, reported that nine people suffered injuries including burns, contusions, and bone fractures.
