Scholars at the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences say another noted physicist, aerodynamics expert Valery Zvegintsev, was arrested in April on a treason charge. The letter stressed that the arrested scientists are innocent and the ongoing crackdown on scholars in Russia will harm the country's performance in science. Since January 2023, at least 21 treason investigations have been launched in Russia. To read the original story by RFE/RL's Russian Service, click here.
