Officials from the city of Tank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a province in southwestern Pakistan, have confirmed a militant attack occurred in the early morning of August 23, resulting in the death of a policeman and the injury of a civilian. Aftab Alam, the head of Tank, said the incident involved a motorcyclist who rode by and targeted the officer. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which authorities are investigating.
