A documentary about jailed Russian opposition politician Aleksei Navalny has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature Film. The movie, titled Navalny, by Canadian filmmaker Daniel Roher, tracks the anti-corruption campaigner and his team as they try to piece together who was behind his poisoning with a nerve agent in 2020. The 95th Academy Awards will be presented in Los Angeles on March 12. Navalny, whose incarceration is widely believed to be politically motivated, has been behind bars for more than two years amid growing concerns about his health.
