Libyan Rebels Say Still Fighting Near Capital

In Libya, fighting between rebels and forces loyal to Muammar Qaddafi has continued in the town of Zawiyah, a major oil port just 50 kilometers west of the capital, Tripoli.

Qaddafi's forces said they had turned back rebels trying to take the town, but the rebels said skirmishes continued in the center of town.

Meanwhile, Libyan TV broadcast images of Qaddafi -- who has been keeping a low profile since NATO air strikes began -- meeting the president of the international chess federation, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, who said he had played a game of chess in Tripoli with the Libyan leader.
