Iran Says It Is Installing 'Speedier' Nuclear Centrifuges

Iran also announced it has moved the work from its main enrichment site at Natanz.
Iran says it is installing new centrifuges with "better quality and speed" to enrich uranium at its nuclear facilities.

The announcement by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast comes despite four rounds of United Nations Security Council sanctions over Tehran's refusal to halt uranium-enrichment work.

France's Foreign Ministry condemned Iran's announcement as "another provocation."

In June, Iran announced that it would expand its production of 20 percent-enriched uranium and move the work from its main enrichment plant in Natanz to another site at Fordow.

The West suspects Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapons program, a charge that Iran denies.
