A Georgian citizen, Bondo Gagnidze, was killed in Ukraine's eastern region of Luhansk while fighting alongside Ukrainian armed forces against Russia's ongoing invasion, one of his friends, Vano Nadiradze, who is also fighting for Ukraine, told RFE/RL on July 30. The 47-year-old Gagnidze joined Kyiv's armed forces right after Russia launched its full-scale aggression against Ukraine in February 2022.
