Russia-imposed police in Ukraine's Moscow-annexed Crimea searched the home of Crimean Tatar activist Nazim Memetov and confiscated his mobile phone and laptop on January 23, saying the search was linked to a case involving illegal firearms. Police did not give any further details. Memetov was neither charged nor arrested.
