Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin arrived late on April 25 at Milan's Malpensa airport, where he was met by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

The two leaders were planning an informal dinner at Berlusconi's villa.

They are scheduled to hold meetings today with issues including nuclear energy and diversifying trade between Italy and Russia.

Putin, who arrived after a two-day visit to Austria, is scheduled to leave Italy late on April 26.
