Georgia's opposition United National Movement said its offices in Tbilisi were attacked overnight by dozens of masked men, with glass broken and equipment damaged, according to images posted by the party on social media. The Georgian Interior Ministry told RFE/RL's Georgian Service that an investigation into the attack had been opened. The incident comes amid heightened tensions after the ruling Georgian Dream party pushed through parliament controversial "foreign agent" legislation that critics say mirrors legislation used in Russia to crack down on dissent. RFE/RL has been declared an "undesirable organization" by the Russian government.
