Tajik Migrants Stranded At Moscow Airport Amid Deportations, Border Crackdown

RFE/RL has received video showing dozens of migrants stuck for days at Moscow’s Zhukovsky Airport. They are being kept in cramped rooms in poor conditions. They say they were deported but prevented from buying tickets home. Since the Crocus Hall attack in March 2024, Russian authorities have tightened entry rules, with hundreds of Tajiks reporting unexplained refusals at airports.
