Students and others marched in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, on September 8, demanding accountability for what they say was police brutality against protesters in Novi Sad three days earlier. Both demonstrations were part of a long-running movement that began in 2024 after a fatal building collapse in Novi Sad. The disaster prompted accusations of government corruption.
