An 8-year prison term for former Russian regional Governor Nikita Belykh is like a "death sentence," according to his wife Yekaterina Reifert. She was speaking to Current Time TV in Moscow after he was sentenced for a bribery conviction on February 1. Belykh's trial was interrupted last year when an ambulance was called after he fell ill.
