A pretrial detention hearing was held for 11 protesters in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, on January 10. The protesters, who include the Georgian actor Andro Chichinadze, were detained on charges of participating in group violence during pro-European protests. The demonstrations came after disputed parliamentary elections on October 26, which saw the ruling Georgian Dream party returned to power.
