Sassan Soleimani, the Iranian who created the Internet video "Happy in Tehran," has reportedly been released from prison in the Iranian capital.

The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran (ICHRI) says Soleimani was released on May 29 after posting bail of approximately $16,600.

Soleimani was arrested on May 20, a day after six participants in his video were arrested for what Iranian authorities described as "obscene" behavior. Their arrests led to outrage around the world.

In the video, distributed on the Internet through social media, the three young men and three young women dance and lip synch to Pharrell Williams' international hit "Happy."

They were released on bail a few days later, while Soleimani remained in detention.

The ICHRI says Iran's judiciary should immediately drop all charges against Soleimani and the six others.
