In Georgian Reunion, Two Families' Lives Come Full Circle
Elizabeth Stone, a U.S. Paralympic swimmer, never knew who brought her into the world or why she was given up for adoption at birth. The Khurtsidze family, thousands of miles away in rural Georgia, always wondered what happened to the disabled girl they left at a local orphanage. But late last year, an RFE/RL report helped put the two families in touch. Now, after an emotional reunion in the Georgian mountains, everything is clear. (Produced by Marina Vashakmadze and Toma Begiashvili, RFE/RL's Georgian Service)
